Tapping is a simple, self-administered acupressure technique that has been scientifically proven to calm the amygdala (the fear center of the brain) and reduce cortisol levels (stress-related hormone) in the bloodstream. We are all aware of the connection between emotional and physical pain — EFT brings relief to both areas.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) have been gaining strength in the published literature as strategies to reduce arousal symptoms such as anxiety. EFT falls under the umbrella of energy psychology techniques which combine physical or somatic processes with cognitive focus in order to reduce psychological distress. Choosing an EFT practitioner
For most people, it can take a while to apply EFT successfully on themselves. For this reason, initially it is best to work with an experienced practitioner. For those seeking deep, lasting results, it is well worth the investment.

Although EFT is a wonderful do-it-yourself tool, most people need help with identifying the relevant events that need to be addressed as well as how to work through each of them. After working with me on a few key events over a period of several sessions, you will understand the process better so that you can continue to move forward on your own. You may want to schedule a follow-up session with me every month or so to make sure you’re still on the right track. Even though you can accomplish a great deal on your own, there are times when professional guidance can make a huge difference and get you there faster.

Choose wisely. Select someone who is experienced in using the official, gold-standard version of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) — a professional who can focus on your specific, unique issue(s). EFT or “tapping” is like acupuncture without the use of needles. While focusing on a specific issue that bothers us, we tap with our fingers on meridian points in order to balance our energy system. Doing this often results in a relaxation response as well as cognitive shifts.
